What this site collects.

Nothing until you click accept, and even then it's just basic visit stats. No ad networks, no trackers, nobody buying your data. I built this site, I'm the only one who sees this.

The two cookies

cookie_consent remembers what you picked in the banner — accept or decline — so it doesn't nag you again. visitor_id is a random string set only if you hit accept, just so I can tell "same person came back" from "new person showed up." It's not linked to your name or email or anything, unless you actually log into something here.

If you accept

Every page load gets logged: the path, your browser's user-agent, whatever page sent you here, the visitor_id, and a timestamp. Your IP gets hashed with SHA-256 first — I never store the raw address. All of it just feeds a little "what's getting read" counter on my own admin page. That's it.

If you decline

None of that happens. No visitor_id, nothing written anywhere. The site behaves identically either way — this isn't a paywall for cookies.

Changed your mind?

Clear cookies for this site and the banner comes back next visit.

If you subscribe for email updates

Subscribing at /subscribe stores just your email address, plus a confirmed/unconfirmed flag and the date you signed up. You have to click a confirmation link before anything's actually sent — no one gets added silently. Emails go out through Resend (the service that delivers them), and every single one has a one-click unsubscribe link that needs no login. Lost that email? Request a new unsubscribe link with just your address. I don't sell, share, or use that list for anything except telling you when something new goes up here.

Want your data gone, or just have a question?

Hit me up and I'll sort it.
